We provide Building Surveys and Valuations throughout London, Surrey & Kent, dealing with both residential as well as commercial properties. Our practice is Regulated by the Royal institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and we operate within their best practice and guidelines.
Our specialism is residential surveys, including Building Surveys (formerly known as “structural surveys”) and RICS Homebuyer Surveys & Valuations. We also undertake ‘Defects Analysis’ for specific building defects.
In addition, we also carry out property valuations – including for probate purposes, market valuation (including ‘staircasing’ for housing associations), taxation, leasehold reform (lease extensions and enfranchisement) and matrimonial proceedings – often acting as “expert surveyor” or “single joint expert”.
At arbitration or in conjunction with Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Marcus can be appointed to provide an “expert determination”.
He is familiar with the procedures under CPR (the Civil Procedure Rules).
Marcus is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and he is also Member of the Expert Witness Institute (EWI) as well as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). He is a ‘Registered by RICS’ valuer.
Via the Chartered Surveyors’ Voluntary Service (CSVS) – a registered charity and in association with the CAB (Citizens Advice Bureau) - Marcus often provides free property advice to people whom would otherwise struggle to access professional assistance.
We offer roof surveys, often in conjunction with a local roofing contractor, utilising a mast when instructed to carry out a Building Survey or Defects Analysis report (as appropriate).
